Wasn't he also fishing in that area as well? Me not that much of a fisherman but I figured it would be nice to know the currents on where I would be fishing.

the thing I took from Jester's post was the part where he just takes as a fait accompli that the guy did it:

detectives seized his computer and found him researching ocean currents in the area that he dumped Laci's body.

I really hope you don't actually get on any juries, Jester.
