When I went from 1gb to 2gb the only apps (that I use) that appeared to work faster are Photoshop and my Video Editing (Media Studio Pro).

My ex roommate bought 2 GB of PC 2700 (4x512) but games would constantly lock up. He dropped it down to 1.5 and it was fine. He could use any combination of sticks and slots and get the same results. Not sure what kind of mobo he had. It was a dual AMD something or another, but it was probably a piece of shi.

I got to test two sticks of Corsair 512MB, right now I normally run (1) PC2700 Corsair 512MB stick. The 1GB that I got to play with was so damn fast! Neutral
