Yes.
My Droid incredible is the shit. It's a Verizon phone, but there are comparable phones on most networks.

Search for "Samsung Galaxy S"
Any one of the vendors out there will have their "exclusive" version of this phone. For me, its the Verizon Fascinate. Unfortunately it wont be available till September because Verizon doesn't want to kill sales of its current android phones just yet. _________________ For with what measure you measure it will be measured to you.

Samsung Epic looks to be the new billy badass phone on the block. Shuts down the EVO and Droid Incredible pretty well. _________________ Failure is just success rounded down.

My primary purpose for getting one is for work, but the secondary purpose is one an iPhone cannot fulfill. That is to program in python for it. I'll need to be able to have full control over my phone for this. Is the Epic friendly to this? _________________ Blargle Flarg Bergah Merg

One of the guys I work with has a Vibrant (Galaxy S on t-mobile). It's a pretty good phone. My Droid Incredible beats it in raw processor horsepower but the Galaxy S has a better GPU.
Galaxy S, Droid 2, Droid X, Droid Incredible, Evo 4G are all pretty much in the same ballpark, though each has its pros/cons.
I'm extremely happy with my Droid Inc. It is one of the fastest of the bunch, fully rootable and NAND unlockable. The only real drawback is it has one of the smaller screens of the high end group.
You are not really gonna go wrong with any of them, though Motorola is a little more anal about their security, thus their phones are harder to root/nand unlock.

I'm just hoping that the Fascinate gets Froyo when its released. All the review samples have had 2.1 on them. Would be a shame. _________________ For with what measure you measure it will be measured to you.

all those phones are froyo compatible it would be a stupid mistake from any phone carrier not to update it.. AT&t might with there tighter data caps with 2.2 being flash capable flash also has the opportunity to use more bandwidth _________________ i7 4770k @4.6ghz

Yay. I get a new work phone. Getting a Tmobile G2. Super psyched.....no more lame ass Blackberry! Even though the BB has been a workhorse, it is nothing more than a small Outlook device. It does OL superbly, everything else horribly.
G2 has Froyo and gets great reviews. Only drawback I have seen is it isnt rootable and it comes with a decent amount of bloatware that cant be uninstalled. No biggie to me as this is more for work than anything so I wont be jacking with it. _________________ K-SWISS Power cologne. Who knew you could bottle the scent of boner?
