Ridiculous Macbook deals on Craigslist  Reply with quote  

I have noticed this and thought the listings were all bogus, but apparently there will periodically be MBPs on CL for <$1000 new in box.

I never really paid attention to the ads, but a friend of mine had a recent MBP 17in with 8GB of RAM and we got to talking about it.
He got it for $800 on Craigslist from some college kid in OKC. The kid said he bought it and got reimbursed from some grant/scholarship, but he didn't need the laptop as he already had one.

Ridiculous.

Yep. He got married, and is telecommuting with the place he was working for in Kommifornia.
Now he gets the Kommifornia pay scale and the BFE cost of living.
