Dead 360

I did some looking around online and couldn't find any info on this. My 360 started up yesterday and put up a blank screen and was flashing 1, 3, 4 green. Any ideas on how to fix this?

call ms and see if it is still warrantied. mine was extended 1 year and the last day of coverage it died. i got a new 360 on microsoft.

I just texted the guy to see if I can get it fixed through him. I am going to call Microsoft tonight when I get my serial number. Hopefully between the two of them I can get this resolved quickly.

I tried to turn it on one last time before I called. I got the RRoD. 3 year warranty for RRoD. I am glad. I didn't want to buy another.

I just can't make myself buy one.

Study was done a few weeks ago, overall failure rate on these things is over 50%. Screw spending $300 on that... I'd love to play some of the exclusive games, but I'm not willing to give up money for shoddy hardware.

Not mention having to pay to play online. <3 PSN.

I didn't know failure rate was that high. The RRoD frequency for the 360 is way out of hand though. I think it all comes down to a sever lack of cooling in them. The heat is causing way too many malfunctions. I can say easily I would get a PS3 if they had Halo. The amount of money you spend on XBOX Live would make up for the more expensive console in the end.

I definitely prefer my PS3 to either the Wii I gave to my nephews or the 360 I just sold, but if you take the time to do the RRoD fix yourself to the 360 it's reliable. Then again the failure rate of the PS3s with no modification is still in the single digits so fuck Microsoft anyways.
