Space Marine

I know Anreill and I will be playing it. Demo available on the steam store page:

Full game to be released on the 6th.

I'm not 100% sure on how multiplayer is going to perform. I've not bought one of these Warhammer based games for the multiplayer. That said, it looks promising. Maybe fun, even. I'll update either way late next Tuesday or sometime Wednesday.

Till then, I seriously recommend the demo. It's good fun.

If you've played the demo, this awesomeness speaks for itself.

There's some variance on what chapter pack one gets from the pre-order based on where you order from. Steam is Blood Ravens. Best Buy is Traitor Legions (never heard of them, guessing it's a chaos faction). Gamestop is Emperor's Elite. Not sure on any of the others. ...or if it matters. *shrug* I didn't buy it to play a certain faction. I bought it because: One, I like the universe. Two, I liked the concept. Three, and what I was finally sold on, the demo convinced me they've pulled it off single player to my expectations. We'll see if their net code is up to snuff Tuesday.

And if we're going to talk about who copied who... Tribes copied Warhammer.


That said, I'm really looking forward to Tribes: Ascend as well. But this is definitely a different flavor of awesome to that.
