Im looking to replace our desktops with equal or better laptops current specs are: athlon x2 3500, 2 gigs, and 7800gs
I found an acer As7551g-6477 on amazon for 637 anyone seen anything better lately?

I don't have any tips on a specific model, but I would say that I wouldn't buy a consumer-line notebook for a business.

One of many examples --
Consumer line power receptacles : Desolder/Solder to replace
Business line power receptacles: $10 pluggable part
etc.

oh and I ended up picking up a couple of hp dv7's at BB not quite what I was after but the price was right.
