I use to like to trap and skeet shoot and have even done this at the OTA Shooting Park . It's right around the corner from the Canadian Rifle & Pistol Range.
However the lure of shooting my M1, AR-15, .30-30, Bobacus' AK-47 and Mauser K98, and of course the .22 rifles, added to the handgun action at the east end of the range with our 9mm's and .22's, I'm hooked on target shooting right now...(and the occasional plastic bottle or medical data hard drive which needs to be made HIPPA compliant )
In the shotgun category, I do own a few, a 12ga. Mossberg over folder for home defense, and a 12 ga. remington for trap and skeet. I also have an OLD double barrel 12 ga. and an OLD .410 but non of these get much play in the last several years... (unless someone tries to break into the house!)
We did manage to go to El Reno today and the weather held. The range was grassy, not muddy, and we had a great time. Laid down about 210 rounds of .223, about 100 rounds each (x3) of 9mm, 48 rounds of .30-06 and probably 300 rounds of .22, plus a few .30-30 rounds.
Lots of money went away, and so did the data on the afore mentioned medical hard drive, which is now pretty damn HIPPA compliant.
We even found out that the range allows bolt action .50 BMG's to be fired there! And since our new found gun buddy Mark just bought one......WHEEEEEE next month!!!
After about 4 hours at the range, we returned to my place and did some work on the OKGG LAN server and network gear to make it more reliable and easier to setup and tear down. So sign up for the LAN on Sept. 20th!!!
See some of you guys at the range next month. _________________ Technology Unlimited * www.techunl.net * (405) 773-6037 * [email protected]

So they give you targets or do you have to supply your own? _________________ XFX 680i SLi, Q6600, 4GB DDR2, 2x1TB WD SATA HD's,2 8800GTS 512mb G92 core Overclocked Ed. SLI'ed, Physics Card, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, G15, Razer Copperhead, 22" Wide screen.
