It was super easy for me too. It was a Pergo snap-in and I let the installer from Home Depot do it all! And after watching it done, I am glad. I do most of my own home remodeling work, including major structural work. It's not that the flooring was impossible, but it took a lot of pre-leveling the concrete, planning the best start points and corner cuts to make it happen. Took one guy 2-1/2 days!
If you do it yourself, make damn sure the concrete is very flat and be certain to use a water barrier and a cushion layer under the wood. It's way worth the extra cost!!!!
The water barrier keeps the wood dry, which besides keeping it from warping and being damaged or moldy, also helps keep termites dis-interested in it.
The cushion layer makes it have a little give to it so it doesn't get damaged or cause breakage as easily when things get dropped on it, and also dampens sounds from walking, etc. _________________ Technology Unlimited * www.techunl.net * (405) 773-6037 * [email protected]
