you hurrrrr me

controller, OS, RAID5/6/JBOD, etc

I'm thinking about handing 4 disks directly to a CentOS VM for mdadm RAID6.

I've got 2 500gig drives in a mirrored array on my work desktop.

I backup my desktop stuff that I want to make sure I don't lose to my work desktop. They are in different locations naturally, about 4 miles. I figure thats better than in the same location. Smile

Just got a Drobo w/ 2 Seagate 1.5TB hdd's last night, running over firewire 800 to a mac mini running os x server 10.6

I have 10TB spread between 6 computers and a NAS Very Happy

Although I am currently trying to plan out a 8 to 10 TB NAS Computer build using raid 5
