ok, looking at monitors. Can't decide between these

I have all 24in monitors but would like a 27in as my middle one and a 27in one ot bring to the LAN.

I've seen a couple of 120+hz monitors and they look pretty great.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't touch any of those over something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/First-FSM-270YG-27-LED-16-9-WIDE-2560x1440-WQHD-LG-S-IPS-PANEL-PC-MONITOR-/320933726714

The Koreans are pushing out these 27" IPS monitors running 2560x1440 for next to nothing. They don't get all the fancy ports and the mounts are pretty basic, but the panels are supposed to be extremely good and for less than $350, sounds like a deal to me.

I wouldn't want a 27" 1080p monitor. Before you buy something like that make sure you are ok with the pixel size. My 24" Dell runs 1920x1200 and I don't like 1080 vertical resolution at all. 1200 is a minimum for any real usage IMO.

Im looking for a 27" too - but I am not sure if I want to mess with 1440 as I am perfectly happy with 1080 @ 23/4"......

Any comments from anyone on gaming on a 27" @ 1080?

If it is less than 1600 vertical, it's worthless. Also, if it is 16:9 and not 16:10, it's worthless.

You forgot to mention if it doesn't require a DVI-D cable it's worthless Smile
