min requirements for ventrilo server anyone know?

My router intel atom 1.6ghz dual core running server 2003 with a torrent server handles a Vent server just fine...

Max I have had on there was 2 friends and me.....worked with no problems.....

ok i just built a server with spare shit to make a okgg ventrillo server i has the uploads and a domain to i never use

p4 3.0ghz
512mb ram lol
32gb HDD
6800gt oced to 200mhz lol jk

will be more than enough man.....I think bandwidth to the server will bottleneck you far faster than computer power....

teamspeak supports more clients on the free version might go that route doubt the server will be used

free vent has an 8 person limit last I checked, and their minimum license purchase to run your own server was just silly. maybe it has changed, but their sales model made me want to boycott them.

/still have an 8 person vent server running on our fat pipe at the office... lol

There are is a very good quality free voice chat client and server on sourceforge. I forget what it is called though. I've not used it for at least 2 years.
